Recently, the monthly pension for categories such as the elderly, widows, weavers, toddy tappers, fishermen, single women, traditional cobblers, and people living with HIV has been increased to Rs. 2,250 from the earlier amount of Rs. 2,000. AP YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme Features & Benefits
Here are some key features and benefits of the AP YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme 2019:
- The pension amount under the YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme will be increased by Rs. 250 each year. By the fourth year, it is expected that the pension amount will reach Rs. 3,000 per month, as promised during the elections.
- The latest order from the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development department has lowered the age criteria for old-age pension beneficiaries from 65 years to just 60 years.
- All eligible groups, including senior citizens, widows, weavers, toddy tappers, fishermen, single women, traditional cobblers, and people living with HIV, will now receive Rs. 2,250 monthly.
- For disabled individuals, the monthly pension will now be Rs. 3,000. Previously, individuals with 40% to 79% disability were receiving Rs. 2,000, while those with 80% and above received Rs. 3,000.
- Chronic kidney patients who require dialysis have seen their pension amount increase significantly from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 10,000.
