Vidyasagar Science Olympiad Questions and Answers provide a wonderful opportunity for class IX students to shine in science. Initiated by the School Education Department, Government of West Bengal, along with Jagadis Bose National Science Talent Search in Kolkata, this scheme aims to recognize and boost the talents of students, preparing them for national and international Olympiad competitions.

It’s especially important for students in class IX to participate as they explore advanced concepts in science, including Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry), Life Science (Biology), and Mathematical Science. Vidyasagar Science Examination Pattern:

Eligibility criteria include the top 5 students of class IX from each school, nominated based on their performance in the class VIII Annual Examination by the Head Master, Assistant Head Master, or Teacher-In-Charge.

• Subjects: Physical Science, Life Science, and Mathematical Science.
• Question Type: MCQs (with negative marking of ½ mark for each incorrect answer).
• Syllabus: Based on the science and mathematics syllabus up to class VIII from the West Bengal Board.
• Full Marks: 100 (Physical Science: 40, Life Science: 30, Mathematical Science: 30) with 50 MCQs; each question carries 2 marks.
• Language of Questions: Available in Bengali and English.
• Tentative Date and Time: The first layer of the Vidyasagar Science Olympiad is scheduled for May 7, 2023, from 12:00 Noon to 03:00 P.M.
• Examination Centers: There may be one examination center in each of the Units, which could change based on student numbers from each unit.
