The Rainbow Fish Story Summary
The Rainbow Fish is the most beautiful fish in the ocean, with shimmering, colorful scales that make all the other fish admire him. However, despite his beauty, he is lonely because he refuses to share his sparkling scales.
One day, a little blue fish asks for one of his shiny scales, but the Rainbow Fish rudely refuses. This causes the other fish to avoid him, leaving him isolated and unhappy. Seeking advice, the Rainbow Fish visits a wise octopus who tells him that sharing his scales will bring him happiness and friends.
Reluctantly, the Rainbow Fish gives away one shimmering scale to the little blue fish. To his surprise, sharing brings him joy. He continues to share his scales with other fish until he has just one left. Though no longer the most dazzling fish, the Rainbow Fish is now surrounded by friends and filled with happiness.
