The Book of Common Prayer Thomas Cranmer

It invaded the style of 17th-century p oets and even 19th century novelists like George Elliot.
The Book of Common Prayer (BCP) is a liturgical text used by the Church of England and other Anglican churches, containing standardized prayers and ceremonies for various Christian services like daily worship, Sunday services, baptisms, weddings, funerals, and confirmations, all written in English and intended to provide a unified form of worship across the Anglican Communion.
It was first published in 1549 during the English Reformation and is largely attributed to Thomas Cranmer, who aimed to create a service that drew from both Catholic traditions and Protestant theology.
