SSC CHSL Notification 2025 Out for 3131 Posts, Online Apply, Check Eligibility

Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the SSC CHSL 2025 notification on its official website ssc.gov.in. This year, there are 3131 vacancies available for posts like LDC (Lower Division Clerk), JSA (Junior Secretariat Assistant), PA (Postal Assistant), and others.

Candidates who have completed 12th-level education are eligible to apply online for SSC CHSL Vacancy 2025. The online application started on June 23 and the last date to apply online will be July 18, 2025. The SSC CHSL tier examination is tentatively scheduled to be conducted between September 8 and September 18, 2025.

SSC CGHSL Eligibility Criteria, Age and Educational Qualification

Eligibility Criteria

There are 3 important eligibility criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be eligible for the SSC CHSL 2025 exam. The 3 parameters are given below:

Nationality

A candidate must be either:

(a) a citizen of India, or
(b) a subject of Nepal or Bhutan, or
(d) a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962, to permanently settle in India, or
(e) a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania(Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam to permanently settle in India.

SSC CHSL Age Limit (as on 01/01/2026)

The age limit for the SSC CHSL posts is 18-27 years. Candidates born not before 02-01-1999 and not later than 01-01-2008 are eligible to apply. Permissible relaxation in the upper age limit for different categories is as below:

Educational Qualification (as on 01/01/2026)

For Data Entry Operator (DEO)/ DEO Grade ‘A’ in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food & Public Distribution, Ministry of Culture and Staff Selection Commission: The candidates who are planning to appear in the CHSL 2025 exam must have passed the 12th Standard or equivalent examination from a recognized Board or University.

For LDC/JSA and DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ (except DEOs in Department/ Ministry: 12th Standard pass in Science stream with Mathematics as a subject from a recognized Board or equivalent.

How many Attempts are allowed in SSC CHSL?

Candidates can attempt the SSC CHSL (10+2) Exam multiple times as long as they fall within the age limit, which varies by category:

1. General: up to 27 years
2. OBC: up to 30 years
3. SC/ST: up to 32 years

There is no fixed number of attempts for SSC CHSL Examination 2025.
