Sikhashree Application Form 2024
Sikhashree Form is a New/Renewal application form for the Sikshashree Scholarship only for those students who are studying in class 5th to class 8th and this form can be downloaded from the link given at the bottom of this page.
In the Sikshashree Scheme, day scholar students who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories, have low family income, and are studying in class 5th to 8th class will be given a stipend of Rs. 800 per year.

How to Fill Up Sikshashree Form
- Obtain the Application Form: You can obtain the Sikshashree application form from the respective educational institution or from the official website of the concerned department or authority in West Bengal.
- Read the Instructions: Before filling out the application form, carefully read all the instructions provided in the application form and accompanying guidelines to ensure that you understand the eligibility criteria, required documents, and other important information.
- Personal Details: Fill in your personal details accurately in the designated sections of the application form. This includes your name, date of birth, gender, address, contact information, etc.
- Educational Details: Provide information about your educational background, including the name of the school, class, roll number, etc. Ensure that the details provided are correct and match the supporting documents.
- Family Details: Fill in details about your family, including the names, occupations, and income of your parents/guardians. This information helps in determining your eligibility for the scholarship.

Sikhashree Scheme 2024 West Bengal
Formerly day-scholar students of class V-VIII belonging to the Scheduled Caste category enjoyed two grants namely
- Assistance in the form of book grants and
- Assistance in the form of maintenance grants.
The number of such grants was meager and did not serve the intended purpose. Further, the method of selection of candidates and that of disbursements is cumbersome and time-consuming.
