How can I open a minor account in SBI?
This account will be jointly opened with the parent/guardian. Minors above the age of 10 years and who can sign uniformly. This account will be opened in the sole name of the minor.
- Visit the Nearest SBI Branch: Go to the nearest SBI branch where you want to open the minor account. Ensure you have all the necessary documents and information.
- Fill Out the Account Opening Form: Request an account opening form for a minor account from the bank representative. Fill out the form with accurate details. If you are the parent or guardian opening the account on behalf of the minor, provide your details as well.
- Provide Documents: You will typically need to provide the following documents:
- Identity proof and address proof of the parent or guardian (usually Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, etc.).
- Birth certificate of the minor (for age proof).
- Passport-sized photographs of both the minor and the parent/guardian.
- Any additional documents as required by the bank.
- Submit the Form and Documents: After filling out the form and gathering the necessary documents, submit them to the bank representative. They will verify the documents and process your application.
