Rubik Cube Formula Sheet
The students who are interested in math can download this Rubik Cube formula sheet PDF. Did you know there are about forty-two quintillion possibilities for arranging the pieces of a Rubik’s Cube?
Solving a 3×3 Rubik’s Cube is actually quite simple. Don’t worry about what others may say. If you have a genuine interest, you can learn to solve it for the first time within just an hour!
Rubik Cube Formula Sheet
Here are some interesting facts you should know about the Rubik’s Cube. While some points might seem trivial at first, they will become clearer as you spend more time with the cube.
- The Rubik’s Cube has six faces.
- Each face is identified by its center. For example, the face with the blue center will always be blue when you solve the cube.
- Centers stay in the same place. Typically, white is opposite yellow, blue is opposite green, and red is opposite orange.
- Corner pieces have three stickers, while edge pieces have two stickers. When solving the cube, remember that you are moving the pieces, not just the stickers. A red sticker on a corner piece will never move to an edge position, for instance.
Cube Notation
To solve the cube, you’ll need to turn its faces. Each face is represented by a letter, and the direction of a turn is shown with a prime (’) symbol. Here’s what you need to know:
– Right face: R
– Left face: L
– Upward-facing face: U
– Downward-facing face: D
– Front face: F
– Back face: B
R, L, U, D, F, or B means to turn the corresponding face 90 degrees clockwise.
R’, L’, U’, D’, F’, or B’ means to turn the corresponding face 90 degrees counterclockwise.
R2, L2, U2, D2, F2, or B2 means to turn the corresponding face 180 degrees.
