Percy Jackson and The Lightning Thief Book
The Lightning Thief is a children’s fantasy novel by Rick Riordan that was first published in 2005. The novel is the first in a series of five that follows the adventures of young Percy Jackson. Percy is a 12-year-old boy who, after a string of strange occurrences, finds himself at Camp Half-Blood, a summer camp operating as a safe haven for children of the Greek gods.
After Zeus’s lightning bolt goes missing, Percy, along with Annabeth, daughter of Athena, and Grover, a young satyr tasked with protecting the young demigods (who are half human, half god), goes on a quest to return the lightning bolt to its rightful owner.
