Assam Government announced the new scheme Lakhpati Baideo Scheme. This scheme aims to empower women workers to earn an annual income of ₹ 1 lakh. It will provide ₹35, 000 in financial help to 40 lakh women.
The government introduced a new scheme that will assist 40 lakh women in the hopes of realizing Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s dream of creating two crores “Lakhpati didies.”
Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan – Eligibility Criteria
- Beneficiaries in the SC and ST categories should not have more than four children. While all those in the OBC category should not have more than three children.
- The girl’s SHG member must enroll her in school and, if she is too young, sign a pledge to that effect.
- The third requirement is that Nectar Tree Movement clients must have trees still standing
Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan or (Lakhpati Baideo) Scheme – Features
- Implemented at an estimated cost of ₹ 4,000 crore, the ‘Chief Minister Women Entrepreneurship Campaign’ will provide ₹ 10,000 in the first year to each SHG entrepreneur and ₹ 12,500 from the government.
- An additional ₹ 12,500 will be provided in bank loans (total Rs 25,000) in the next two years.
- Beneficiaries must provide business plans to receive funding.
- Moreover, the welfare scheme will form part of population control measures in Assam.
- Welfare programs to benefit both mothers and sisters will be linked to population control measures.

- Proof of identity (Aadhar card or similar).
- Residence certificate.
- Caste certificate (if applicable).
- Proof of association with an SHG.
- Documentation supporting the number of children.
- Proof of previous year’s sapling plantation.
Mukhya Mantri Mahila Udyamita Abhiyan Application Process
- The government is yet to comment on any online applications.
- Application forms can be obtained in offline mode through the nearest panchayat office.
- The cards are free and the cards are only available on certain dates.
- No photo status of the form will be accepted.
- Fill in the details and complete the application form.
- Include the required documents with the application form.
- Then send the application along with the attached documents to the concerned department at the panchayat office
