  • The Yamuna River System: The Yamuna is a significant river system in Northern India. It emerges from Yamnotri and travels through Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. The river flows past important cities like Delhi, Mathura, and Agra, and eventually meets rivers Chambal, Betwa, and Ken before joining the Ganga at Allahabad.
  • The Brahmaputra River System: The Brahmaputra is one of the major rivers in India, originating from the Angsi glacier in the Himalayas, which is in Tibet where it is called the Tsangpo River. It enters India in Arunachal Pradesh, where it is known as the Dihang River.
