Conditions of Transfer
- The maximum number of chances available for male GDSs is ONE, while female GDSs are eligible for TWO chances.
- The transfer will be at the individual’s own request and own cost to a vacant post at their desired location, which could be their home village, home division, or a place suggested for medical treatment.
- A minimum engagement period of TWO years from the date of regular engagement in the GDS post is mandatory for male GDSs before their transfer request can be processed.
- For female GDSs, a minimum engagement period of ONE year is required from the date of regular engagement in the GDS post.
- For PwD GDSs and those with PwD dependents or mentally challenged dependents, a minimum engagement period of ONE year from the date of regular engagement in the GDS post is also required.
- Transfer requests from GDSs who are currently under suspension or against whom any disciplinary action, police case, or court case is pending will not be considered.
- If a GDS is transferred at their own request and the transfer is approved by the competent authority, they will rank junior in the seniority list of the new unit compared to existing GDSs in that unit as of the date of transfer, except in cases of transfer within the same engagement or recruitment Sub Division/Unit/Division.
