Applications are now open for Civic Volunteer Recruitment under Kolkata Police. Candidates, both men and women, can apply by downloading the Civic Volunteer Recruitment application in PDF format from the official Kolkata Police website, www.kolkatapolice.gov.in, or by using the link provided below for easy access.

Eligibility Criteria for Civic Volunteers

To be eligible for the Civic Volunteer role, applicants should meet the following criteria:

• Must preferably be a resident in the Kolkata Police jurisdiction area.
• The applicant’s minimum age should be 20 years (as of January 1, 2018), and the maximum age should be 60 years.
• Minimum Educational Qualification: Should have completed Class VIII.
• Preference will be given to those with strong sports backgrounds or experience as NCC Cadets, Boy Scouts, NSS Guides, or Civil Defense Volunteers.
• Applicants must have no criminal record with any police station.
• Physical and mental fitness are required.
• Candidates with experience as security guards will be prioritized for posts related to Police Housing estates.

How to Apply for Civic Volunteer Recruitment

Application Form: The prescribed application form is attached here. It should be printed on white A-4 size paper. Fill out the form carefully and submit it personally in the DROP BOX at the concerned Divisional/Unit office. Make sure to mark the envelope with “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF CIVIC VOLUNTEER”.

The Reserve Officer will keep a register of all application forms received for ND/SD/CD/PD ESD/SED/SSD/SWD/ED at Kolkata Police for further processing.

RO, BHQ, Kolkata will also maintain a register for application forms specific to the Kolkata Mounted Police.

Documents Needed for Civic Volunteer Application

• Self-attested copy of identity proof: (PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, Voter Card, Bank Passbook with photograph, Aadhaar Card, or e-Aadhaar Card with a photograph)
• Self-attested proof of address: (Voter Card, Aadhaar Card, e-Aadhaar Card with a photograph, Passport, Driving License, Bank Passbook, Electric Bill, or Telephone Bill)
• One self-attested passport-size photograph should be pasted on the top right corner of the application form.
• Self-attested document for proof of age (Birth Certificate, School Leaving Certificate, or Admit Card mentioning date of birth).
• Self-attested copies of educational certificates and records of extra-curricular activities.
• Self-attested copies of experience documents as mentioned in para A(7).
• All original documents listed above will be verified at the time of engagement. Only one application should be submitted by each candidate.

No applications will be accepted after the last date and time for submission. Incomplete applications and those missing required documents will be rejected.
