- The pension amount under the YSR Pension Kanuka Scheme will increase by Rs. 250 each year. By the fourth year, the pension amount will reach Rs. 3,000 per month as promised during the elections.
- A new order from the Panchayati Raj and Rural Development department has lowered the age limit for receiving old-age pensions from 65 years to 60 years.
- All eligible groups, including senior citizens, widows, weavers, toddy tappers, fishermen, single women, traditional cobblers, and those living with HIV, will now receive Rs. 2,250 monthly.
- The revised order states that all disabled individuals will receive a monthly pension of Rs. 3,000. Previously, those with 40% to 79% disability were given Rs. 2,000, while those with over 80% disability received Rs. 3,000.
- For chronic kidney patients requiring dialysis, the pension amount has significantly increased from Rs. 3,500 to Rs. 10,000 monthly.
