Easy Steps for Amavasai Tharpanam
During the sacred Tharpanam ritual, you need to complete your offerings using seven or five blades of grass, according to the tradition. Make sure to follow these steps thoughtfully:
First, perform Aasanam while reciting the sacred names:
Achyutaya Namah, Anantaya Namah, Govindaya Namah, Keshava, Narayana, Madhava, Govinda, Vishnu, Madusudana, Trivikrama, Vamana, Sridhara, Hrishikesha, Padmanabha, Damodara.
Next, take three pieces of grass and hold them in your right hand. After that, place two blades of grass underneath your feet as an offering.
Wash your hands with water and prepare for the final offerings. Keep the three blades of grass together as part of the Tharpanam.
Recitation for Divine Blessings
As you proceed, remember to chant the following:
Shuklambaradharam Vishnum, Shashivarnam Chaturbhujam, Prasanna Vadanam Dhyaayet, Sarva Vighna Upashaantaye.
Om Bhooh, Om Bhuvaha, Om Svah; Om Mahah, Om Tapah, Om Satyam, Om Tat Savitur Varenyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhimahi, Dhiyo Yonah Prachodayat.
