Why I Killed Gandhi Book
On January 30, 1948, at 5:15 p.m., during the evening prayer, Godse approached Gandhi. One of the females who was standing next to Gandhi and encouraging him exclaimed, “Brother, Bapu is already late,” as she attempted to distract Godse from his bowing. However, Godse pushed her away and fired three shots at close range, striking Gandhi in the chest with a semi-automatic handgun. After being brought to Birla-House, Gandhi passed away there. This is the killer of Gandhi’s autobiography. The original statement made by Nathuram Godse is contained in the book.
