CEA Form for Army
CEA (Children Education Form) is payable to children of all Army officers including citizens of Nepal and Bhutan who are employees of the Government of India and whose children are studying in their native place.
CEA Amount for Central Government Employee
- Central government employees are eligible for the monthly Rs 2,250 Children Education Allowance (CEA) per child but as per the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT). According to the DoPT norms, a central government employee is eligible for the CEA for two children only and the CEA will go up by 25 percent automatically when the DA rises 50 percent of the revised pay structure.
- In the case of a Divyang child, the CEA gets doubled at Rs 4,500 per month. Apart from CEA, a central government employee is eligible for a monthly hostel subsidy of Rs 6,750 as well.

- The amount for reimbursement for Children’s Education Allowance will be Rs 2,250 per month per child. This amount of Rs 2,250 is fixed irrespective of the actual expenses incurred by the Government Servant.” The DoPT rules further say that in the case of a divyang child, the CEA shall be payable at double the normal rates of CEA prescribed at Rs 4,500 per month.
