About the Author
General Manoj Mukund Naravane (Retd.) served as the 28th Chief of Staff of the Indian Army from December 31, 2019, to April 30, 2022. He completed his initial training at Air Force Central School, Delhi Cantt, and Jnana Prabodhinee Prashala, Pune. He is a graduate of the National Defense Academy, Khadakwasla (Pune); Indian Military Academy, Dehradun; Defense Staff College, Wellington; and Army War College, Mohau.
He is also a faculty member. General Naravane holds a Master’s degree in Defense Studies, a Master’s degree in Defense and Management Studies, and a PhD based on his experience in Nagaland. During a distinguished military career that spanned more than four decades, he served as Army Vice Chief of Staff and Commander-in-Chief of Training and Eastern Command.
