What is Vidyalakshmi Loan
The Vidya Lakshmi Portal is the first of its kind, designed specifically for students in need of an Education Loan to further their studies. It has been developed with the guidance of the Department of Financial Services (Ministry of Finance), Department of Higher Education (Ministry of Education), and the Indian Banks Association (IBA).
Students must be a citizen of India. Should have passed the 10+2 board exam. It is important that students pass the required merit entrance exam for admission into college. Students can apply for a loan to study in India or any foreign country.

STEP 1: Firstly, visit the official website at https://www.vidyalakshmi.co.in/Students/
STEP 2: On the homepage, click on either the “Register” tab present in the header or the “Apply Now” button as shown below:

Guidelines for Registering on Vidya Lakshmi Portal
- Name – Please enter the student name as per the 10th class marksheet or as per the marksheet attached with your loan application.
- Mobile Number – Enter a valid mobile number. Students can provide the mobile number of a parent or guardian for communication purposes.
- Email ID – Enter a valid email ID. The email ID cannot be changed later. All essential communications will be sent to this email ID.
