Shikshapatri, authoritatively composed by Bhagwan Shree Swaminarayan’s own blissful hand on Vasant Panchmi day of Vikram Samvat 1882, is a significant religious text for devotees. This booklet includes a total of 212 shlokas. Shreeji Maharaj sat in the Hari Mandap at his residence in Vadtal Temple and wrote it in Sanskrit. શ્રીસહજાનંદ સ્વામી જે તે પોતાના સત્સંગી પ્રત્યે શિક્ષાપત્રીને લખતા થકા પહેલા પોતાના ઈષ્ટદેવ જે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ભગવાન તેના ધ્યાનરૂપ મંગળાચરણ કરે છે.
હું જે તે મારા હૃદયને વિષે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ ભગવાનનું ધ્યાન કરું છું; તે શ્રીકૃષ્ણ કેવા છે, આડે જેમના ડાબાakeld પર રાધિકાજી બેસી છે અને જેમના વક્ષસ્થલને લક્ષ્મીજી છે. તેમણે હોવું, એ વૃંદાવનમાં વર્તે છે। ।।૧।。
