Purvanchal Expressway Map Route
The Purvanchal Expressway Map Route is an important part of the Purvanchal Expressway project by UPEIDA. This operational 6-lane access-controlled road connects Chand Sarai Village in Lucknow District with Haidaria Village in Ghazipur District. About the Purvanchal Expressway
This groundbreaking project was first announced in May 2015 as the Lucknow – Azamgarh – Ballia Expressway. Land acquisition efforts began soon after the announcement. The foundation stone for the expressway was laid by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in July 2018, and the construction work officially started in October 2018, with 5 contractors handling 8 civil packages.

The proposed expressway starts from chainage Km (‐)0+270 at Village Chand Sarai (Dist. Lucknow) on National Highway NH‐56 (chainage Km 20/960 on NH56 Lucknow‐ Sultanpur Road, 1.7 Kms before Gosainganj). It then travels southeast, bypassing Azamgarh city, before finally terminating at Haidariya (Dist. Ghazipur) with an end chainage of Km 340+500.
