49A Correction Form UTI 2024
49A Correction Form 2024 is the application form for the allotment of Permanent Account Number (PAN) for Indian residents. If you need to make corrections to information provided in Form 49A, you would typically use a “Correction Form” or “Form for Changes or Correction in PAN data” which is Form 49A itself, but you select the “Correction” option in the form type.
How to make Correction in Pan Card Online
- Visit the NSDL e-Gov portal.
- Click on the ‘Services’ tab and select ‘PAN’ from the dropdown menu.
- Now scroll down and locate the heading ‘Change/Correction in PAN Data’. Click on ‘Apply’ from the list of options given.
- Name Change: If there’s a spelling mistake or any other error in your name as per the PAN record, you can use Form 49A to correct it.
- Address Change: If there’s a change in your residential or office address, you can update it using this form.
- Date of Birth Correction: If there’s any mistake in your date of birth as per the PAN record, you can use Form 49A to correct it.
- Photograph/Signature Update: If your photograph or signature needs to be updated, you can use this form for submitting new photographs or signatures.

- Application type: Changes or Correction in existing PAN Data/Reprint of PAN Card
- Category: Select the relevant category from the drop-down menu. If you do not have a business and are filing your income tax return.
- Other details: Fill in other personal details like:
- Title
- Last Name /Surname
- First Name
- Middle Name
- Date of Birth / Incorporation / Formation
- Email ID
- Mobile Number
- Citizenship (Indian or not)
- PAN number
- Type in ‘Captcha Code’ and tap on ‘Submit’.
- Once the request is registered, you will receive a Token Number on the Email ID provided here. This token number can be used to access the draft version of the form in case of session timeout.
