1.	सोमनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग	(गुजरात)	गुजरात के सौराष्ट्र क्षेत्र में स्थित सोमनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग को पृथ्वी का पहला ज्योतिर्लिंग माना जाता है। यहां पर देवताओं द्वारा बनवाया गया एक पवित्र कुंड भी है, जिसे सोमकुण्ड या पापनाशक-तीर्थ कहते हैं।
2.	मल्लिकार्जुन ज्योतिर्लिंग	(आंध्र प्रदेश)	मल्लिकार्जुन ज्योतिर्लिंग आंध्र प्रदेश में कृष्णा नदी के तट पर श्रीशैल नाम के पर्वत पर स्थित है।
3.	महाकालेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग	(मध्य प्रदेश)	मध्य प्रदेश स्थित के उज्जैन में महाकालेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग स्थित है। ये एकमात्र दक्षिणमुखी ज्योतिर्लिंग है। यहां प्रतिदिन होने वाली भस्मारती विश्व भर में प्रसिद्ध है।
4.	केदारनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग	(उत्तराखंड)	केदारनाथ स्थित ज्योतिर्लिंग उत्तराखंड में हिमालय की केदार नामक चोटी पर स्थित है। बाबा केदारनाथ का मंदिर बद्रीनाथ के मार्ग में स्थित है। केदारनाथ समुद्र तल से 3584 मीटर की ऊंचाई पर स्थित है।
5.	ओंकारेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग	(मध्य प्रदेश)	मध्य प्रदेश के मालवा क्षेत्र में शिव का यह पावन धाम स्थित है। इंदौर शहर के पास जिस स्थान पर यह ज्योतिर्लिंग है, उस स्थान पर नर्मदा नदी बहती है और पहाड़ी के चारों ओर नदी बहने से यहां ॐ का आकार बनता है।
6.	भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग	(महाराष्ट्र)	भीमाशंकर ज्योतिर्लिंग महाराष्ट्र के पूणे जिले में सह्याद्रि नामक पर्वत पर स्थित है।
7.	बाबा विश्वनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग	(उत्तर प्रदेश)	बाबा विश्वनाथ का यह ज्योतिर्लिंग उत्तर प्रदेश की धार्मिक राजधानी माने जाने वाली वाराणसी शहर में स्थित है।
8.	त्र्यंबकेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग	(महाराष्ट्र)	त्र्यंबकेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग महाराष्ट्र के नासिक जिले में स्थित है। त्र्यंबकेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग के निकट ब्रह्मागिरि नाम का पर्वत है। इसी पर्वत से गोदावरी नदी शुरू होती है।
9.	वैद्यनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग	(झारखंड)	वैद्यनाथ ज्योतिर्लिंग झारखंड प्रांत के संथाल परगना में जसीडीह रेलवे स्टेशन के करीब स्थित है। धार्मिक पुराणों में शिव के इस पावन धाम को चिताभूमि कहा गया है।
10.	नागेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग	(गुजरात)	नागेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग गुजरात के बड़ौदा क्षेत्र में गोमती द्वारका के करीब स्थित है। धार्मिक पुराणों में भगवान शिव को नागों का देवता बताया गया है और नागेश्वर का अर्थ होता है नागों का ईश्वर। द्वारका पुरी से नागेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग की दूरी 17 मील की है।
11.	रामेश्वरम् ज्योतिर्लिंग	(तमिलनाडु)	भगवान शिव का यह ग्यारहवां ज्योतिर्लिंग तमिलनाडु के रामनाथम नामक स्थान में स्थित है। रामेश्वरतीर्थ को ही सेतुबंध तीर्थ भी कहा जाता है। मान्यता है कि इस ज्योतिर्लिंग की स्थापना स्वयं भगवान श्रीराम ने की थी। भगवान श्री राम द्वारा स्थापित किए जाने के कारण इस ज्योतिर्लिंग को भगवान राम का नाम रामेश्वरम दिया गया है।
12.	घुश्मेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग	(महाराष्ट्र)	घुश्मेश्वर ज्योतिर्लिंग महाराष्ट्र के संभाजीनगर के समीप दौलताबाद के पास स्थित है। भगवान शिव के 12 ज्योतिर्लिंगों में से यह अंतिम ज्योतिर्लिंग है। इस स्थान को ‘शिवालय’ भी कहा जाता है।

Somnath	It is traditionally considered to be the first pilgrimage site. It marks the beginning of the Dwadash Jyotirlinga pilgrimage. This temple is said to have been destroyed 16 times and rebuilt as well.
Mallikarjuna	This is also called as Srisaila and is located on the mountain in Kurnool district of Rayalaseema. The temple is architecturally rich and consists of various sculptures.
Mahakaleshwar	Ujjain is known for its Shiv temple across the globe. This Lingam is believed to be Swayambhu out of the 12 Maha Jyotirlingas. It is also the only one facing the South and has Shri Rudra Yantra placed upside down at the ceiling of the Garbhagriha.
Omkareshwar	It is situated in Madhya Pradesh as well. It is on an island in the Narmada river and is a home to Jyotirlinga shrine at the Mahala temple.
Kedarnath	Kedarnath is known to be the closest Jyotirlinga to Shiva’s actual home in Kailash mountain. This temple also forms a part of the famous Char Dham yatra of the Hindus. This location is accessible for only one time in every six months. It is also one of the Paadal Petra Sthalam of Vada Naadu mentioned in Thevaaram.
Bhimashankar	It is situated in Khed Taluka of Daakini country. This is why this place was called the Daakini temple too.
Vishweshwara	This Jyotirlinga is situated in Kashi, Varanasi. UP is said to be the home of the Vishwanath Jyotirlinga shrine. It is also one of the Padal petra stalam of Vada Naadu that has been mentioned in Thevaaram.
Trayambakeshwar	This Jyotirlinga is situated on the banks of the river Godavari and the legend says that this temple marks the origin of the river as well.
Nageshwara	This temple is situated in Gujarat, near Jamnagar and is one of the 12 Jyotirlingas mentioned in the Shiv Purana. It is known as the Dvādaśa Jyotirliṅga Stotram.
Baidyanath	It is considered to be one of the most sacred abodes of the Lord Shiva. It is located in Deoghar in Santhal Parganas division of the state of Jharkhand. This is popularly called Baba Baidyanath where the Jyotirlinga is installed. There are also 21 other temples in this region. As per the Hindu legends, Ravana worshipped Shiva here to gain the boon of 10 heads.
Rameshwaram	It is in Tamil Nadu and is the southernmost Jyotirlinga in India. It enshrines the Rameśvara-“Lord Rama ” pillar.
Grishneshwar	This temple is referred to as Ghushmeshwar temple in the Shiv Purana. It is one of the shrines of Shiv mentioned in the Shiv Purana.
